This is BC BGC Canada’s Privacy Statement for the MyBGC website and governs the collection, use and disclosure of “personal information” collected via our MyBGC website (“the Website”). Personal information is any information about “you” as an identifiable individual.
This Privacy Statement explains our privacy practices and how we collect, use, and disclose personal information provided when you visit our Website.
BGC CANADA will continue to review this Privacy Statement to ensure it remains current with changing laws and regulations while meeting the evolving needs of the Website. In the event of any amendment to the Privacy Statement, a notice will be posted within this page. If you continue to use the Website following an amendment to the Privacy Statement, you will be deemed to have consented to the updated Privacy Statement.
In this Privacy Statement, the terms "we", "our" and "us" refer to the BGC CANADA. The terms "you", "user", and "your" refer to a user of the Website.
Collection and Use of Personal Information
The purpose of the Website is to impact the personal journeys of youth with curated, enriching online content – based on the connections, learning and growth of the life-changing Club experience. The Website is a safe online environment purpose-built for Canadian youth.
BGC CANADA will only collect, use, or disclose personal information with your consent, which may be express or implied, or as otherwise required or permitted by law. You are free to withdraw at any time by deleting your account and/or by contacting our Privacy Officer at privacyofficer@bgccan.com. Please note that withdrawing consent or deleting your account will limit your ability to use the Website.
BGC Canada will collect the following information from you:
- Your age,
- first and last name,
- email address, and
- club affiliation information or certain location-based information.
We will use this information to create your account and deliver our programs and present the content of the Websites.
We will also collect and present the information you submit via our internal chat forums. We do not use this information for any other purposes than to present its content to you and other users.
BGC CANADA, from time to time, may post user surveys on the Website. These surveys are for evaluation purposes only, to help us understand how we can improve the Website and services. If you respond to a survey, the information that you provide will only be used for analysis and reporting and will be anonymous.
Disclosure of Personal Information
BGC CANADA will never sell your information to anyone. Disclosure of personal information occurs only:
- as set out in this Privacy Statement or with your consent;
- to our suppliers, third-party service providers or agents who assist us in serving you; or
- where we are required or permitted to do so by law.
BGC CANADA reserves the right (and you authorize us) to share or disclose your personal information when we determine, in our sole discretion, that the disclosure of such information is necessary or appropriate, including to enforce our rights against you or in connection with a breach by you of this Privacy Statement or to prevent prohibited or illegal activities. Further, BGC CANADA may disclose personal information if a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order legally requires or authorizes us to do so.
Additionally, BGC CANADA reserves the right to disclose and to transfer personal information to a third party in the event of a proposed or actual purchase, sale, merger, amalgamation, or any other type of acquisition, disposition, or financing of all or any portion of BGC CANADA or any of the assets of BGC CANADA provided that the third party represents that it will continue to use the information for the purposes set out in this Privacy Statement and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

We follow industry recognized standards on information security management to safeguard your information. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we follow all legal requirements to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of personal information transmitted to our Website.
BGC CANADA will retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to meet the purposes for which it was collected or as otherwise required by applicable law.
Children’s Data
BGC Canada does not collect information from children under the age of thirteen (13) years of age.
Should we become aware that we have collected any personal information of someone younger than 13, we will immediately delete and stop processing the information.
Cookies and Automatically Collected Data
BGC CANADA may use information from the Website, such as IP address, time spent on each page and other analytical data for statistical reporting, Website evaluation and service improvement. This information is anonymized before analysis and will never be linked with any other information that could be used to identify you.

The Website uses cookies to collect non-personal information that allows the user to interact with the Website in an effective way and improves the usability of the Website.
