Is there something worrying you?

Whatever it is, a worry stone can be a great tool to help cast those worries aside—just give it a rub!

How to Prepare:

Collect the following items before you begin:

  • Oven-bake polymer clay, such as Fimo Soft or Soft Effects Clay
  • Foil for baking clay
  • Oven or toaster oven

Make Your Worry Stone!

Step 1: Make up a small amount (about the size of a golf ball) of 2-3 colours of clay from your clay pack.

Step 2: Push and mould all three colours of clay together to form a ball.

Step 3: Roll and twist the clay in your hands to make a “snake” shape.

Step 4: Take your “snake” and smoosh it together.

Step 5: Roll it into a ball. Watch how all the colours come together!

Step 6: Press your thumb into the ball until you have an indentation that you can rub your thumb in.

Step 7: Time to bake! Once you have made one (or several!) worry stone(s), you need to bake them in your oven at 230 degrees for 30 minutes. (No microwaves!)

🦺Safety Note! Make sure you have adult supervision when baking your stone.

💡Activity Hack! You can bake your stone using foil so that there’s no cleanup required afterwards.

Worry Stone Complete! Congratulations!

How It Works

Rub the indent of your stone. Isn’t it so smooth? This smooth surface provides a great sensory stimulation that can help calm or distract you from whatever you’re feeling or experiencing.

Maybe it’s an upcoming test, a bad day at school or an annoying friend/brother/sister. Just give your stone a rub to help cast those worries aside!
